The Starbucks job ended up being seasonal due to a lack of hours.

And I did officially prove that I earned my degree, and I was accepted for my research degree at University of Stirling. I'll be starting as soon as the paperwork is finished.

I got the position at Starbucks. They called me up this morning and I get to do in tomorrow to do paperwork and start my training. I'm sleepy right now, but very excited :D

As of earlier this week, my dissertation has been turned in and now I can prepare to graduate with my MLitt in Medieval Scottish Studies. I'm still sort of nervous, but I'm done my Masters work.

I has two dates with a perfectly nice man, but I just didn't really feel it. He texts a bit too much and I didn't feel a real spark. I don't look forward ( Read more... )

I'm going to try to make this short because I have a lot of studying to do in very few hours before bed.

Cindy is heading back to Boston for a few weeks to deal with emergency family related news. Not only am I worried about her, but I'll miss her when she's away. Now I just need to try not to trash the place while she's gone.

One of the things that amused me when I found this flat was that it has old wooden floors. They're admittedly squeaky (there is no walking quietly here, everything makes a sound) and the spacing between the wood is uneven due to the planks changing shape/size over the years but I liked them. I certainly can't complain about Christmas this year. The load wasn't exactly huge but that's not what Christmas is about. There is snow in Glasgow tonight. Of course, I love snow and so I went out to take pictures of it. It's exciting for me because I got no snow in Oregon last year. Something I didn't take pictures of that amused me was seeing women come right out of clubs. Mini skirts and open toes shoes in the snow just don't go well together.
